This video is part of my How to eat a treat video series where I help you enjoy your treat foods.

The basic characteristics of a treat food are that they are salty or fried or sugary. However, they’re delightful to eat which is why they’re called treats! And because most treats contain only energy and not many other nutrients, overdoing them may not be the best for our health.

On the other hand, we must understand that nourishment is not the sole reason to eat food, there are so many other excellent reasons. Food is a part of celebrations, travel, social bonding etc. and deserves to be enjoyed without any guilt.
